vjoon K4 is the worldwide leading standard solution for professional publishing – for print, online and mobile devices. A detailed rights administration system, easy handling and flexible cusomizing options support a smooth and safe production process for individual working groups or for the entire company. K4 is characterized by on-target supply to different output channels (print, web, mobile devices etc.). Due to the channel by channel and task-based workflows, the production process is safe and transparent. Via roles the users are assigned clear tasks. Production responsible users can at any time intervene in processes. Within the workflows tasks may be automated. 
 
 
Production of Contents by a variety of editors: 
• Adobe InDesign: Native application for layout and make-up
• Adobe Photoshop: Native application for image processing
• Adobe InCopy: Native application with a wide range of functions for the creation of editorial contents including copyfit presentation, change log and spelling checks
• vjoon K4 WebPortal: 
Modular web browser application for media-specific creation of editorial contents. Data base research via meta data. Via WebPortal diverse editors can snap contents. HTML editors, K4 WebEditor (copyfit editing via browser with page preview via InDesign server), K4 File Manager (upload / download of all file types), MS Office etc. 
Production tracking is carried out by intrasystem tools or by external systems (→ page planning). All objects are versioned and historicized via status, meta data and explanatory notes. 
Server components are based upon standard technologies (Apache Tomcat, SQL Data Base, JAVA). K4 works with the standard data bases mySQL, Oracle and and MS-SQL. WebServices is available as integration interface including API documentation.
