SNAP Innovation may have set a record for fastest rollout, taking just a month to install and ramp up the Cross-Media Publishing Platform vjoon K4 at corps. Corporate Publishing Services GmbH (corps) and TiMe, corps' prepress service provider. Just three months later, 21 publications were running on vjoon K4. One is rotkreuzmagazin. With its strong focus on local news, this German Red Cross magazine comes in many different local editions. The many versions had complicated publishing efforts. vjoon K4 simplifies the process to save time and money.

SNAP Innovation stellt Tablet Publishing Lösung 

auf Basis von ADOBE DPS vor


Adobe DPS und vjoon K4 gewährlisten eine hochgradig automatisierte Produktion digitaler Ausgaben für Apple iPad, Blackberry Playbook sowie auf Android basierende Ausgabegeräte wie Samsung GALAXY Tab und Motorola XOOM.

SNAP Innovation ist ab sofort autorisierter Adobe DPS Partner. Das Unternehmen berät und schult Verlage, Mediendienstleister, Agenturen und Unternehmen in der Produktion digitalen Contents mit Adobe Creative Suite. Die Adobe DPS Services, mit denen der Content in die einzelnen AppStores gebracht werden kann, sind ab sofort bei SNAP Innovation zu einem Preis ab 355,00 EUR / Monat erhältlich.

Für die Produktion interaktiver Publikationen kommt Adobe InDesign ab Version CS 5 zum Einsatz. Der Standard für kreative Medienproduktion wird mit Adobe InDesign CS 5.5 um integrierte Kreativwerkzeuge erweitert, mit denen ansprechende Layouts für Print- und digitale Publikationen produziert werden können. Inklusive interaktiver Elemente sowie Video- und Sounddateien.

Direkt aus InDesign CS 5 bzw. 5.5. können die interaktiven Dokumente auf Servern der Adobe-Digital-Publishing-Suite hochgeladen und über diverse App-Stores (itunes, Google Marketplace, weitere werden in Kürze folgen) veröffentlicht werden.

Hierzu werden die Dokumente zunächst über eine InDesign-Palette zum Adobe-Folio-Producer-Service hochgeladen. Dort können sie mit Werbung und Metadaten angereichert zu einer Ausgabe zusammengestellt werden. Vor Veröffentlichung erfolgt der Test auf den Zielgeräten oder auf einer Simulation. Schließlich werden die fertigen Projekte per Mausklick über den Adobe-Distributionsservice freigegeben.

Die Produktion der Publikationen ist kostenfrei, erst bei Veröffentlichung der App fallen Kosten an.

Um die Effektivität zu erhöhen und die Produktion zu automatisieren empfehlen wir den Einsatz von vjoon K4. Aus K4 heraus können digitale Magazine, Bücher, Geschäftsberichte etc. für Previews oder zur Lieferung an die Adobe-Distribution-Services prozessgesteuert hergestellt werden.

Besonders für die - oft unter Zeitdruck stehende - Produktion von Periodika sind die effizienten Workflows und automatisierten Prozesse im Hintergrund (z.B. um Layouts umzurechnen, für Typo-Änderungen oder Anpassung der Rahmengrößen) ein großer Vorteil.

Coming soon in Q2 2011, the new version 6.4 of the Cross-Media Publishing Platform vjoon K4 is compatible with Adobe Creative Suite 5.5. vjoon K4 is also extending CS5.5 with many automated routines that enable, simplify, and streamline process-oriented publishing of tablet editions and eBooks.

The new K4 Server Admin™ application provides a central management entity for the K4 DES™ (Distributed Enterprise System), as well as for diverse publications, databases, and Adobe InDesign Server®. Beyond that, vjoon K4 will ship with many features that make tasks in Adobe InDesign®, InCopy®, and K4 Web Editor™ even easier for users to perform.
